NEET 2022 Latest News
- NEET 2022 on July 17: As per the official notification, NTA will conduct NEET 2022 exam on July 17, 2022, in pen-paper mode. Earlier, NEET 2022 exam date was expected to be in June 2022. But due to several state board exams including CBSE board exams being scheduled in June 2022, NTA has deferred NEET 2022 exam date to July 17, 2022.
- Changes in NEET Syllabus 2022: Speculations are that NTA might remove NEET Physics Syllabus from the 2022 examination along with other major changes in the exam pattern. However, NTA has not confirmed such changes yet.
- Conducting NEET 2022 twice: Last year, the education minister had announced that the authority is trying to conduct the examination twice a year in an online mode. Therefore, this year candidates are expecting that NTA might conduct the examination twice in the online mode

Why NEET 2022?

NEET 2022 Eligibility- Revised
NEET 2022 Eligibility Criteria must be fulfilled by all the candidates who are planning to appear for the upcoming examination. NMC has revised NEET 2022 Eligibility Criteria. On March 9, NMC has announced the revision in NEET 2022 Eligibility. The upper age limit of 25 years has been scrapped.
NEET Age Limit
- The minimum NEET age limit required to apply for the exam is that the candidate must have completed 17 years as on December 31, 2022.
- Earlier, candidates above 25 years of age were not allowed to appear for the exam however, the criteria has now been officially scrapped.
- There is no limit on the number of attempts that is a candidate can take the exam every year.
NEET Education Qualification
- Class 10+2 in PCB and English from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks for the general category candidates.
- Reserved category candidates can apply for the exam with 40% marks in PCB.
- If a candidate has opted for biology as an additional subject in Class 12 is also eligible to apply for the exam.
NEET Nationality
- Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for the exam.
- NRIs, OCIs, PIOs & Foreign Nationals are also eligible to appear for the exam.
NEET Attempts
- There is no limit on the number of times a candidate can appear for NEET.
- Candidates who are 17 years and above can take any number of NEET Attempts provided they fulfill other eligibility criteria.

NEET 2022 Application Form
NEET 2022 Registration is completely online and the application forms have been released on the official website- neet.nta.nic.in. The details on how to fill NEET 2022 Application forms, NEET application fees, documents required, etc., are mentioned below.
How to Fill NEET Application Form 2022?
Registration for NEET 2022 involves generating NEET login credentials, filling NEET Application form, uploading documents, paying of NEET application fee, and final submission. The step-wise detailed process is mentioned below:
Step 1 – NTA NEET 2022 Registration
The first step is to generate your login credentials i.e. NTA NEET Registration Number and Password on the official website by following the below-mentioned steps:
- Visit the official NTA NEET website and click on the ‘New Registration’ tab.
- Enter the basic details- email, name, contact number, DOB, category, gender, etc., and submit the form.
- Your NEET 2022 Login ID and Password will be generated and sent on your email id. Save it for all future correspondence.
Step 2 – Filling the Online NEET Application Form
Login using the credentials generated in the previous step to fill NEET application form 2022. The below-mentioned details will have to be filled in the NEET application form:
- Personal Details: Date of Birth, Category, Nationality, Disability status, Father's/ Mother's Name, Place of birth, Permanent/ Current Address, photo ID number.
- Exam Center and Medium of NEET paper: Choose the medium of the paper out of the 13 languages. Also, select 4 exam center choices out of the given list.
- Academic Details: Enter your class 10th, 11th, and 12th details including the name of the Board, school, marks/ grade, year of passing, etc.
Step 3 – Uploading Documents
In the next step after filling the necessary details in the application form, candidates need to upload the following documents in JPG format as per the guidelines issued by NTA for Uploading Photo & Sign in NEET Application Form.
